An impressive early 19th Century French bronze & ormolu Clock Garniture comprising a pair of campana shaped Urns with satyr mask carrying handles supported on red marble plinths with applied wreaths ending on platform bases. The Clock, having silver dial 8-day striking movement, by Himon a Paris (1 of the springs engraved Le Noble1837) in red marble case with applied oil lamp detail, with well-cast classical figure, L’Etude, reading a book, all supported on plinth base mounted with triumphal garlands, ribbons and trumpets.
